  • Does My Serenity Mental Wellness go by an abbreviation?

    Yes, it often goes by MSMW, MS, or My Serenity.



  • Are we a good fit for your needs?

    We offer a free brief consultation (10–15 minutes), and you can ask a few questions about the services you seek.

  • Rates

    If paying for sessions is a challenge, you may qualify for partial compensation through your health care benefits. For more information regarding this fee plan, please visit my Rates page and read about Superbill.

  • What does MS specialize in?

    We treat many diagnoses but focus on anxiety, depression, and trauma. For more information regarding this topic, please visit the My Services page.



  • What theories does MS use?

    MS is eclectic, using different theories depending on the need; however, MS focuses on the approaches of humanistic, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy, TF-CBT, MAP, and family systems. For more information regarding this topic, please visit the My Services page.

  • What does the first session generally look like?

    The first session is an intake session, where we go in depth about information regarding the problem, history of the onset of your challenges and more.

  • Is therapy confidential?

    Therapy is confidential; however, there are some limitations. More about this will be explained at the onset of therapy.

  • Can I see you in person?

    MS offers Telehealth Services and limited in-person sessions for clients at this time. Telehealth remote services means that sessions will be at the comfort of your space and through a confidential virtual platform. For more information regarding this topic please visit the Telehealth page.


  • How long is each session?

    Most sessions are (50-60 minutes). There are other options if you want to add more session time.


  • My Session Options

    MS provides different modalities (individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and group therapy). Depending on what modality you seek, there will be an investment difference. For more information regarding this topic, please visit the Rates page under Investment.

  • Cancelling or Re-Scheduling before my session

    Unforeseeable circumstances can happen to us all; however, per our policy, we encourage you to cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. In the event that you notify MS at the last minute, you may incur a fee. More about this policy is on the Rates page.

  • Are you a crisis center?

    Unfortunately, we encourage you to call 911 if you are experiencing a crisis. You may go to your nearest hospital in the case of an emergency. MS is a Monday–Friday (9–8 pm) and Saturday (9–12 pm) service provider.

  • Am I able to reach my therapist after hours?

    You may reach out to your therapist; however, keep in mind that you may not receive an answer right away. MS likes to respect your time and that of the therapist; all calls or emails will be returned during business days and as soon as possible.



  • Bilingual Services

    We offer services in Español for Spanish-speaking clients; please inform your therapist at the onset of your session. 

  • Any other questions?
